Portobello West market sets up shop June 23-25, 2017
Up to 90 local vendors will display their wares at Vancouver’s beloved Portobello West market during the 2017 Concord Pacific Vancouver Dragon Boat Festival, June 23 to 25. From local fashion to food, artwork to home decor, Portobello West summer market will set up at the Creekside Community Centre in the heart of the action at this year’s festival.
Portobello West, modelled after Europe’s famous artisan markets, brings together the best of Vancouver’s artisans, designers, food producers, and winemakers. Browse the market for hand-sewn and hand-died kimonos, dresses, wraps and shawls with Pacific Northwest flair. Taste B.C. wines and distilled spirits. Discover unique Canadian flavours at producers’ booths offering chocolates, shortbread, hot sauces and elixirs. Find ideal gifts, including designer jewellery, hand-made art cards, woodwork, bedding, and children’s toys and accessories.
Now in its 11th year, not-for-profit Portobello West is headed by a volunteer board with a goal of fostering community connections, and promoting the best of local Pacific Northwest and Canadian art, food and fashion.
Admission during the festival is free. From June 23-25, Portobello West is open:
Friday: 4 pm to 9 pm
Saturday: 11 am to 7 pm
Sunday, 10 am to 5 pm
