February 16-18International Village Chinese New Year Celebrations
Ring in the Year of the Dog with us at International Village's Chinese New Year celebrations. Come visit us, and take a picture in our dragon boat on site, before learning more about our community programs including Introduction to Dragon Boat programs and our Summer Youth Paddling Camps! We will also have a lucky red envelope giveaway; come visit us for your chance to win great prizes including free registration into paddling programs!
February 18Vancouver Chinatown Chinese New Year Parade and Spring Temple Fair
Celebrate the new year in Vancouver's historic Chinatown at the Chinese New Year Parade. We'll be giving out lucky red envelopes that symbolize luck and health to everyone, young and old along the parade route! Take a look inside for your chance to win prizes to get active in 2018, and tag our dragon boat float for even more chances to win great prizes.

May 12Dragon Zone Youth Regatta
The first race of the 2018 season, the Dragon Zone Youth Regatta is Western Canada's largest regatta featuring youth teams.
May 13Dragon Zone Spring Sprint
Dragon Zone Paddling Club is pleased to offer this unique dragon boat regatta. Teams will compete in the 10 person Swift dragon boats for 200m.
May 24Dragon Boat BC Legacy Gala
Community, culture, and competition, all in one boat. Join us for Dragon Boat BC's flagship fundraising event at Concord Pacific Place, as we raise funds so that everyone, regardless of ability or barriers to participation, can enjoy active living in the heart of Vancouver. June 9-10Dragon Zone 500 m Regatta
The Dragon Zone 500m Regatta is a seeding regatta for the Concord Pacific Dragon Boat Festival.
June 22-2430th Annual Concord Pacific Dragon Boat Festival
More than 100,000 spectators will line the shores of False Creek and Creekside Park to cheer on approximately 5,500 local and visiting athletes at North America's biggest and best dragon boat race. On shore an exciting line-up of professional entertainers will perform from the Main Stage. Artisans will demonstrate and display their crafts and there will be plenty of hands-on activities for visitors of all ages and abilities including interactive art displays and a professional circus.
Dragon boating is a sport that captivates its participants and spectators alike. The Concord Pacific Dragon Boat Festival is proud to present programs that promote diversity and inclusiveness, while paying homage to an activity that has its roots in ancient China and celebrates the many unique aspects of Chinese culture. August 25, 2018Steveston Dragon Boat Festival
The Steveston Dragon Boat Festival is back this year on August 25 at Steveston Harbour and Imperial Landing Park. Steveston comes alive as an estimated 1,500 paddlers and 20,000 festival-goers converge for one of BC’s biggest dragon boat races and one of Richmond’s most popular community festivals. Visitors will enjoy live music, vibrant visual arts, entertainment, children’s activities, and culinary offerings, while kicking back and enjoying a relaxing summer’s day by the water.
