Junior Regatta, May 5th

The Dragon Boat Society is partnering with the City of Vancouver Board of Parks and Recreation in presenting an opportunity for all youth to take part in a one-day “learn and race” experience.  There is no experience necessary and we will provide all equipment and instruction.
In a nutshell, we are inviting youth to register to take part in the Dragon Zone Youth Regatta. The day begins with a two-hour lesson on paddling a dragon boat. After a brief snack break all the participants will be broken into teams, followed by a series of races, culminating in championship races. The day will end with medal ceremonies and a barbeque.
It’s a great opportunity for youth to get out on the water, meet new people and take part in the growing sport of dragon boat paddling.

The cost of the Dragon Zone Youth Regatta is $10 per participant. Participants must register at www.dragonboatbc.ca/code
