In 2017, Eternal Dragon aims to defend its gold medal at the Concord Pacific Vancouver Dragon Boat Festival, its Canadian Championship titles, and qualify to defend their World Championship titles at the 2018 Club Crew World Championships in Szeged, Hungary. We also are aiming to support paddlers to reach their full potential as athletes, or to help them find a new sport that they enjoy regardless of fitness or experience. We always aim to develop a team of passionate paddlers that respect the sport, racing, and others.
Paddlers must meet Dragon Boat BC’s age category for junior paddlers. If the team races at a Dragon Boat Canada or International Dragon Boat Federation Championship, paddlers will need to meet different age restrictions. Paddlers intending on registering after the Fall intake period must contact the program to arrange for a meeting to discuss team expectations before joining the team.Commitment:
Practices begin in October with 3 sessions per week, and increase to 5-6 sessions per week in Spring including optional cross training opportunities. Practices are comprised of a mixture of land fitness, gym work, dragon boat, OC-1, and optional flatwater paddling opportunities.Program Cost:

If teams decide to stop paddling, they are required to inform email@example.com and their time slot will be given away. If a team misses two practices in a row, it is assumed that they no longer need the time slot and it will be given to the next on line team. No reservations are allowed on the 4th canoe. It will serve as a first come first served canoe when demand of canoes are more than Dragon Zone can supply. This free program is not for teams that wish to guaranty the use of a boat(s) at the same time every week for a season.
