“East Meets West” at the Dragon Boat BC Legacy Gala, the 6^th annual summer cocktail party in support of inclusive community paddling sports, coming up Thursday, May 24 at Concord Pacific Place, 88 Pacific Boulevard.

Starting at 6 p.m., the tinkle of wine glasses and the sounds of live music will drift over the False Creek waterfront from Concord Pacific’s elegant open-air venue. A lavish buffet dinner of Canadian coastal cuisine, paired with stellar B.C. wines, will be capped off with the chef’s special Asian-inspired ginger ice cream dessert.

Tickets to the gala are all-inclusive, covering a fully hosted bar, acrobatic performances, live bands, and a silent auction of exclusive items and dynamic experiences. Online bids are being accepted now by Leith Wheeler. Entertainment for the evening includes the Hon Hsing Athlethic Club, a youth troupe from Chinatown that will be performing a lion dance.

Guests will also have a chance to test their luck in the Lucky Cube Raffle, presented by Hong Kong Airlines and Sugarfina. Top prize is two business class tickets to Hong Kong valued at $10,000.

Signalling the 30-day countdown to the 2018 Concord Pacific Dragon Boat Festival, June 22 to 24, the 6^th annual Dragon Boat BC Legacy Gala builds on the inclusive vision of the Milton K. Wong Legacy Project, committed to removing financial barriers as an obstacle to youth participating in sport. The gala also kicks off fundraising for seven local charities competing at the festival on All Access Friday, June 22.

Legacy Gala Tickets are available online now. Attire for this stand-up reception-style event is summer dressy-casual. Comfortable shoes are recommended for meeting and mingling.
