Volunteer at the Vancouver Dragon Boat Festival

The Vancouver Dragon Boat Festival is still seeking volunteers to join the team. Every year, 600 generous volunteers contribute more than 5,000 hours of service to the Canadian International Dragon Boat Festival Society’s many initiatives.

“It’s a popular volunteer gig and many volunteers sign up year after year,” says General Manager Ann Phelps.

“Dozens of our volunteers just keep coming back,” adds Ann. “They have made friends, they like being part of this well-known event and we are happy to have them. We encourage others interested in being part of the fun to sign up – it’s not too late.”

Every volunteer receives a snappy t-shirt, meals, invitation to the BBQ Party on June 29^th and entry into the draw for some great prizes!

There are openings in:

• Green Team (Zero Waste Program education)
• Information and Guest Services (the heart of the festival)
• Dock Crew (must wear a life-jacket) or Race Services (helping paddlers)
• On-site Activities (hands-on activities for all ages)
• Volunteer Services (helping and feeding volunteers)
• Super Heroes (people who are flexible and move from position to position, depending upon the need)
